friday five
As you read this, I am way too busy having fun attending the TechMunch conference at Disneyland. As I’m sure I’ll have plenty to tell you about my week when I get back, I thought I’d share five people I couldn’t wait to spend time with while here in Southern California. Their blogs are delightful and you should definitely stop by and say hi!
- Damaris of Kitchen Corners just may be one of my favorite people ever. Her blog focuses on food, design and life as a supermom of three. She makes the most beautiful babies and her spirit totally lights up a room. Knowing that she was just a neighborhood away was one of the highlights of moving back to San Francisco.
- Barbara of Barbara Cooks does just what she says – she cooks! Her recipes and photography are stunning and we’re excited to follow along as she adds a wee little chef to the mix this year. I miss our San Diego brunches, but am thrilled to be spending three whole days dining our way through Disneyland together.
- Mariko of The Little Foodie lives in Hawaii and makes us all jealous of her beautiful surroundings and delicious recipes. I had a blast exploring the San Diego Zoo with her a few years ago and am so excited to see her and her babies again.
- Jackie of The Seaside Baker bakes gorgeous cakes, pastries, cookies and more. You name it, she bakes it! I sadly met Jackie right before moving away from San Diego, but am lucky enough to get to see her twice this month as we had an incredible dinner at the Slanted Door just last week.
- Jessica of My Baking Heart is pretty much everything I miss about Texas. Her posts are bursting with classic flavors and genuine southern charm. Grab some iced tea when you head over to her blog because I promise you’ll want to stay a while!
I am so happy to have been able to meet and converse with most of these people too! It was so great to see you again and the kids were over the moon with the peanut butter pretzel snacks you made them!
