Ice cream and candy and booze! Oh my! There really isn’t anything not to love about these Boozy White Chocolate Peppermint Milkshakes.
Have you tried the new white chocolate peppermint LINDOR truffles? Smooth white chocolate is hugged by the crunch of a peppermint studded white chocolate shell; they are just the greatest little balls of Christmas magic. They’re deliciously addicting on their own, but even more magical when blended into a milkshake.
Last month I won a Vitamix from the kind folks over at Foodie.com in a contest to curate a collection of delicious holiday dessert recipes. I was beyond ecstatic to receive my gorgeous CIA Professional Series Vitamix and, like any good foodie would, immediately started blending everything in sight.
I started out blending responsibly – blending fresh juices and protein packed morning smoothies. But before we knew it, I had discovered that you absolutely cannot go wrong when throwing ice cream and alcohol in the blender. I had picked up some Fior di Latte – a white chocolate grappa – on our cruise last month that was just begging to become something decadent. Our first milkshakes of OREOs, vanilla ice cream and Fior di Latte were just the tip of the iceberg of what was to come. Ice cream, booze, cookies and candy, the possibilities were endless!
By far my absolute greatest creation to date was when I decided to throw a few white chocolate peppermint LINDOR truffles into the mix. The white chocolate grappa and white chocolate truffles with a hint of peppermint made the merriest of winter treats. I don’t know that I can top these Boozy White Chocolate Peppermint Milkshakes, but I’ll take one for the team and try. Just promise not to judge the ratio of healthy smoothies to milkshakes that are created in our new Vitamix!
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
- 2 ounces white chocolate liqueur
- 2 ounces skim milk
- 2 LINDOR peppermint white chocolate truffles
- Whipped cream and peppermint crunch for garnish
- Place ice cream, white chocolate liqueur, milk and truffles in blender container.
- Blend on high for 15-30 seconds using the tamper to push down ingredients as necessary. (If using a VItamix, turn machine on and slowly increase to Variable 10 before switching to high).
- Once smooth, pour into glass and top with whipped cream and peppermint crunch. Serve immediately.

If you aren’t lucky enough to find Fior di Latte, any white chocolate liqueur will work!
